Benjamin (“Ben”) Villar, M.A. '21, is pursing his master’s degree at the Center for East Asian Studies. Prior to coming to Stanford, Ben studied Japan’s colonial era and the occupation of Korea. Ben’s research interests have gone through some changes since receiving his undergraduate degree.

Lu Li M.A. ’17, general manager of global strategy at Indiegogo, was named to the Forbes 30 under 30 list in recognition for her cross-border growth initiatives to bring Chinese tech to the U.S. market. At Indiegogo, Li coaches campaigns with the goal of bridging cultural gaps between Chinese innovators and Western markets.
