1. What is the best way to contact Faculty Staff Housing?

2. What housing programs are available for eligible faculty?

There are five financial programs available to eligible faculty who meet defined eligibility criteria and who do not own a home in the qualifying area:

Programs may be used alone or in combination (loans must be used in a specific order) with other programs and can be used to purchase a campus or off-campus home. Staff at Faculty Staff Housing are available by appointment to explain the programs and calculate how much of a house you can afford using all the programs. Please refer to the purchase process for more information.

3. What housing programs are available for newly tenured faculty?

Effective July 1, 2006, new programs are available to certain eligible faculty members who were promoted on or after September 1, 2004. More information is available at Programs for Newly Tenured Faculty.

4. What housing programs are available for eligible staff?

Executive staff at the N11, N99, O and P levels who meet defined eligibility criteria are eligible for certain housing purchase programs. Refer to the Housing Purchase Programs Eligibility Criteria document for more information. All staff levels are eligible for certain rental housing programs. Refer to the Rental Housing Programs Eligibility Criteria document for more information.

5. What housing programs are available for new Clinician Educators?

Certain Clinical Assistant Professors, Clinical Associate Professors, and Clinical Professors who meet the CE eligibility may qualify for the CE Programs. More information is available at Clinician Educator Programs.

6. Can I use all the programs? Can I use only one or two?

Subject to eligibility, the Housing Allowance Program (HAP)Mortgage Assistance Program (MAP)Deferred Interest Program (DIP), and Zero Interest Program (ZIP) can be used alone or in combination to purchase a campus or off-campus home. The loans, however, must be used in a specific order. Please refer to the purchase process for more information.

7. How do I know how much of a house I can afford?

Staff at the Faculty Staff Housing are available by appointment for faculty and staff who meet the eligibility criteria to explain the programs, collect financial information from you, and calculate how much of a house you can afford using all the programs.  Please refer to the purchase process for more information.
