South Asian Studies
What You'll Study
Center for South Asia (CSA) is the central forum for the interdisciplinary study of South Asia at Stanford University. CSA facilitates research and convenes events on topics relevant to deepening the understanding of South Asia, which includes Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Pakistan, India, and Sri Lanka.
CSA offers a specialization in South Asian Studies under the larger umbrella of the minor in Global Studies. Students can also take a variety of classes related to South Asia in subjects such as history, comparative literature, language, cinema, art, theatre, religion, education, economics, and politics.
