Biomedical Innovations Building
This fall, the Research Division is moving into a new home base on the basement and first floors of the brand-new Biomedical Innovations Building (BMI). The new building features open-plan wet labs with state of the art equipment, as well as useful dry lab space for computation, research, and data analysis. We are saying goodbye to the Edwards Building in the original Stanford Hospital, a hub of growth and success for the Department over the past decades. But with the BMI building right beside Edwards, we are looking forward to staying close to our roots while pushing towards new heights in all things Otolaryngology — Head & Neck surgery research related.
SICHL
New Website Live
We released a new website for the Stanford Initiative to Cure Hearing Loss (SICHL). SICHL identifies the fundamental mechanisms by which the inner ear functions and uses this information to develop novel approaches toward preventing damage, repairing and one day replacing damaged inner ear tissue.
The website hightlights our extensitve research in the area of the hearing loss and 26 cutting-edge projects funded by SICHL.
