Santa Clara County Helping Hands

Let’s lend a helping hand.

In the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, we hope to help bring our community together.

Santa Clara County Helping Hands matches individuals at higher risk for COVID-19 with local low-risk volunteers who can help deliver necessities like groceries and prescriptions and provide virtual companionship.

Let’s all do our part to help our neighbors in this difficult time.

How this works

  1. Volunteers and higher-risk individuals both sign up to receive a match.

  2. SCC Helping Hands finds a match and connects the two individuals by email.

  3. Both individuals reach out to each other within 24 hours.

  4. Both individuals read the safety protocols and email a confirmation to SCC Helping Hands that they will adhere to the protocols.

  5. Both individuals coordinate with each other to schedule deliveries and/or virtual check-ins, and to determine a payment process for deliveries.
