Temporary Campus Zones Established

Stanford has established temporary campus zones to support resumption of research and teaching.
See details

To comply with new guidance from the State of California that requires limiting campus visitors, Stanford has created zones on its main campus that restrict access to areas with academic, residential, cultural and athletic facilities. The change is in preparation for the return of additional students, faculty, staff and postdocs to campus as our autumn quarter begins. Please read the frequently asked questions about the campus zones before planning a visit to campus. Visitor access to many parts of the main Stanford campus will be limited, though areas designated for recreation and other purposes will continue to welcome members of the public.

April and May Programs for Prospective Undergraduates (Updated 4/1/2021)

Prospective Undergraduate Students: Engage with Stanford through our virtual Information Sessions, Student Forums, and our new Themed Panel Discussions.
See details

April and May information sessions are currently posted for online registration!
The Discover Stanford information session is paired with one of our popular "Student Forum" panel discussions. The Student Forum provides a live opportunity to hear from and ask questions of current students about all aspects of the Stanford undergraduate experience.
In April, we will be offering special panels for just our newly admitted students, and in May these programs will be available to all interested registrants. Listen to live discussions on any of the three following topics: Academics (covering academic structure, curriculum, interdisciplinary study, declaring a major, advising, and faculty), Campus Culture (focusing on housing, traditions and school spirit, clubs, and extracurricular activities), and Learning Opportunities Outside the Classroom (discussing research, internships, studying abroad, and service opportunities).

NEW PANELS!: In addition, we are pleased to present student panels on five specific areas of study (dates/times TBA; signups available soon!)

* Human Biology/PreMed

* Arts & Humanities

* Computer Science

* Engineering

* Social Sciences

Registration for these programs is located under the "Engage" tab at admission.stanford.edu.

A link to our popular 360° video tour of the central campus can be viewed at any time. The 13-minute tour (linked just below on this site) is narrated by multiple Stanford undergraduates and is a completely immersive experience when watched on a mobile device!

Please note the following regarding the status of visiting the physical Stanford campus: In response to COVID-19 and in accordance with guidelines from federal, state and county agencies, all of the Visitor Center's on-campus (in person) tours, information sessions and programs remain suspended for the foreseeable future until further notice; the Visitor Center and Office of Undergraduate Admission locations remain closed as well. General visitors can review this website for more information about Stanford. We also strongly recommend downloading the free and highly useful Stanford Mobile app for University information, updates, and services.

We look forward to the time when we will once again be able to welcome you to the physical Stanford campus!
