Emmett Interdisciplinary Program in Environment and Resources
We train the next generation to help solve critical environmental and sustainability challenges.
Joint and Dual MS Admissions
E-IPER offers a Joint MS for M.B.A. students currently enrolled in Stanford's Graduate School of Business or J.D. students at the Stanford Law School. E-IPER also offers a Dual MS degree for M.A. students in the Ford Dorsey Master's in International Policy program, M.D. students at Stanford's School of Medicine, and students pursuing a PhD in another Stanford school or department.
Eligibility
All applicants must hold a B.A. or B.S. degree from an accredited US college or university or its equivalent from an international institution of recognized standing, as listed on the Graduate Admissions site.
Joint and Dual MS applicants must also apply to and be accepted by, or have already matriculated in the Graduate School of Business (GSB), Stanford Law School (SLS), Ford Dorsey Master's in International Policy program (MIP), School of Medicine (SoM), or Ph.D. program in another Stanford School or department. E-IPER does not offer a stand-alone MS degree and the Joint MS is not a pathway for entering E-IPER's PhD program.
Information Sessions for Current Stanford Students
E-IPER holds information sessions for prospective applicants who are current students in the Graduate School of Business, Stanford Law School, Ford Dorsey Master's in International Policy program, School of Medicine, and Graduate School of Education. To view presentation slides from past information sessions click on the appropriate link below. Please note the application process information is applicable to CURRENT Stanford students only.
Being part of the E-IPER Joint MS-MBA program showed me how interdisciplinary approaches can help both developed markets and emerging markets move from subsistence to sustainability.
Shruthi Baskaran MS-MBA
E-IPER provided a flexible framework for pursuing this and an opportunity to participate in classes and projects that I never would have otherwise had the time to be part of.
Timothy Singer MS-MD
I have also benefited from developing relationships with other students from the E-IPER law and PhD programs through classes, projects and research.
