Accessibility of The Daily has been a longstanding issue. In 2021, we launched the $1,000 Stanford Daily Opportunity Fellowship, our first-ever school-year financial aid program for staff. We’ve started this pilot with a very small pool of fundraising, and would love to be able to keep it going in future years, with the ultimate goal of providing universal need-based aid to Daily staffers. About The Stanford Daily
The Stanford Daily is the independent, student-run newspaper of Stanford University. The Daily was originally founded as a small pamphlet known as The Daily Palo Alto in 1892 and has been a campus fixture ever since. The Daily strives to serve the Stanford community with relevant, unbiased journalism and provides its editorial, tech and business staffs with unparalleled educational opportunities.
We would not be where we are today without the support of our loyal readers. Your contributions make a big difference in helping us strengthen our operations, protect our independence, and create meaningful experiences for Daily staffers at the oldest independent student publication on Stanford’s campus.
