Alec Scott was named volunteer assistant coach prior to the start of the 2019-20 season, the first under the Goldman Family Director of Men’s Swimming Dan Schemmel.
Scott previously coached at the University of Alabama and the University of Northern Colorado. At Northern Colorado, Scott helped the Bears win three WAC conference championships, achieve four NCAA ‘B” qualifying standards, break seven school records and produce 14 podium finishes at the conference championships.
Scott previously served as a volunteer assistant at Alabama for the 2016-17 season, helping the Crimson Tide earn 33 All-America honors and seven school records.
In 2016, Scott graduated from Alabama with a bachelors’ degree in journalism. Scott began his collegiate swimming career at Indian River State College before transferring to Alabama and finishing his collegiate career with the Crimson Tide.
