Andrea Alfano served as the Human Resources Coordinator for Enrollment Management at UC San Diego in 2018. In this role, Alfano coordinated hiring, onboarding, performance management, and other human resources functions.
In 2017, Alfano joined the Louisiana Tech Athletics Department as the assistant athletics director for business administration and human resources. In her time at Louisiana Tech, she managed the day-to-day operations of the business office to include all fiscal and human resources matters.
From 2013 to 2017, Alfano served as the human resources coordinator for the Georgia State Athletics Department. She began as an administrative assistant to the senior athletics staff. As the human resources coordinator, she oversaw all human resource department matters. In her first year, she also helped develop and coordinate an athletic department employee recognition program.
From 2012 to 2013, Alfano was a community responsibility intern with the Spurs Sports & Entertainment, which oversees the NBA's San Antonio Spurs along with teams in the WNBA and AHL. She started her athletics career as a community relations intern with the San Diego Chargers in 2011.
Alfano graduated from San Diego State with a bachelor's degree in journalism before adding a master's degree in intercollegiate athletic leadership from Washington. A native of San Diego, Alfano volunteered with the Holiday Bowl from 2010 to 2017.
