Brian Favat is in his fifth year as a member of Stanford Athletics and was named Associate Athletics Director for Finance & Business Operations in February 2019. As part of his duties, Favat oversees the department’s financial operations, as well as information technology and all internal-focused business process and strategy efforts. He also serves as secondary sport administrator for men's rowing and women's lightweight rowing.
Favat arrived at Stanford in 2015 as Director, Ticketing Systems and Data Management before being promoted to Assistant Athletics Director, Business Strategy & Ticket Operations in 2016. In September 2018, he was promoted to Associate Athletics Director.
Prior to Stanford, Favat worked for several years as a technology consultant with Infosys Consulting, specializing in financial services and insurance companies. He began his professional career at Morgan Stanley as a program manager in their Enterprise Data Group.
Favat earned a bachelor's degree in Finance and Operations & Technology Management from Boston College in 2004. He added a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management in 2010.
He and his wife, Megan, currently reside in Belmont, California. They are the parents of the late Marien Louise.
