Apply to the Stanford MBA Program

  • Read through this website carefully; it is your primary source for admission information.
  • Apply online in one of three application rounds. You may only apply once during any application cycle.
  • Let us know if we can help you at any time throughout your application process.​

Apply to Both the MBA and MSx Programs

If you are still deciding between the Stanford MBA and MSx Programs, Stanford GSB offers the option to apply to both, with one application and one application fee.

  • Compare the two programs to determine which is right for you.
  • Make sure you understand the criteria for both the MBA and MSx programs (at least eight years of experience is required for the MSx program).
  • You must apply in Round 1 or 2 to use the combined application.
  • Pay one $275 application fee for your combined application.
  • On the first screen of the MBA application, select the “MBA and MSx Program Application.”
  • Address your interest in both the MBA and MSx programs in Essay B.
  • Your application will be reviewed independently, based on each program’s specific evaluation criteria.
  • If you are admitted to both programs, you may accept only one offer of admission.

Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals

Stanford has actively supported the DREAM Act legislation since its introduction in 2001, which would allow undocumented students to continue their education and apply for U.S. citizenship. Stanford also supports Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, an executive action signed by former President Barack Obama, which allowed some undocumented individuals who entered the United States as children to remain in the country and obtain work authorization. We are among more than 600 colleges and universities that have signed a letter in support of DACA. Individuals who have been granted DACA status are eligible to apply and matriculate to the Stanford GSB. Individuals who have met all other admission requirements and are otherwise undocumented are also eligible to apply and matriculate to the Stanford GSB.
