UIT Winter Closure Support

University IT will offer limited IT support to the Stanford community from Dec. 22 through Jan. 6
Monday, December 3, 2018

Winter closure for the Stanford campus is Friday, Dec. 21, 2018 at 5 p.m. through Monday, Jan. 7, 2019 at 8 a.m.

During this time, University IT (UIT) support is available for those offices and labs on campus that remain open, and for those who will be cracking open their laptops at home or using their Stanford-issued mobile devices over the winter break.

We’re here for you

The UIT Service Desk will be open 24 hours per day throughout the break with limited support.

  • Support for most IT, account and voice issues will be available at anytime during the break by dialing 650-725-4357 (5-HELP).
  • Support for mobile device accounts and order & billing issues will be limited to 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, except for the following university holidays and closed dates: Dec. 24, 25 and 31, 2018 and Jan. 1, 2019.

Our IT Operations Center will also be open 24 hours per day during the break monitoring all critical UIT systems and services.

Non-emergency requests that require the support of UIT or distributed support groups, which are not staffed during winter closure, will be addressed during the week of Monday, Jan. 7, 2019.
