The Corporations and Society Initiative promotes civic-minded leadership to ensure that markets and institutions serve society’s broad interests.
Civic-minded leaders have a holistic understanding of the complex ways individuals, corporations, and governments interact, and recognize the importance of effective governance and accountability in both the private and the public sector for creating a trustworthy system.
CASI encourages broad engagement and interdisciplinary collaborations, seeking to broaden and deepen the discussion, examine our assumptions, and break academic and social silos. We work with students, faculty, alumni, and others at Stanford and beyond to support teaching, research, events, and civic engagement.
