Visitors are encouraged to use public transit and any other commute alternatives, such as bicycles, carpooling, and hybrid vehicles when traveling to the County Government Center.
Free Valet Parking is available for Visitors and Staff in the surface parking lot at the corner of North San Pedro and West Hedding Street. Click HERE for Valet Parking map.
Public transit access is available to and from the County Government Center, located at Hedding and First Streets in San Jose by VTA bus lines *61, 62, 66, 181 and Light Rail. (*61 Southbound last trip is at 8:55 p.m. for this location.) The Light Rail stop for this location is Civic Center.

Bicycle parking racks are located in the James McEntee, Sr., Plaza in front of the County Government Center building.
Public Parking is available next to the West Wing at 70 W. Hedding. Visitors may park here for free for 2 hours. There is also public parking in the Civic Center garage located at 171 W. Hedding. The parking rate for the garage is $1.25 for ¼ hour. Click HERE for Visitor Parking map.
Metered Parking A limited number of metered parking spots are also located along Hedding St., Mission St., San Pedro St., and Guadalupe Parkway. The rate for most parking meters ranges between $1.00 and $2.00 per hour, and will be indicated on the meter.
