AFS Spaces to Expire Annually
In the interest of gradually reducing AFS usage over time, some AFS spaces will be scheduled to expire annually. If a space is still needed, it can easily be extended for another year.
AFS space owners will be notified via email 30 days, seven days, and one day prior to the expiration date (see sample message below). Once expired, the space will be archived (not deleted) and become inaccessible.
What AFS spaces of mine are subject to expiration?
You can see all of your AFS spaces that are subject to expiration via the AFS Archive Management tool.
How do I restore an archived AFS space?
An archived space can easily be restored at any time for up to two years using the AFS Archive Management tool. Changes take effect immediately. After two years of being archived, the space and its contents will be permanently deleted.
