The Social Management Immersion Fund provides financial support to MBA students who secure summer internships with nonprofits, government agencies, and social-purpose businesses.
Summer is a critical time to explore a social impact career, develop credibility in a new industry or focus area, and gain expertise in a particular functional area. SMIF provides financial support to help students make the most of their summer experience.
SMIF Fellows bring critical management skills to organizations addressing important social and environmental issues; in return, they get hands-on experience working in relevant fields. Fellowship stipends approximate students’ median summer salaries in the private sector. Since its inception, SMIF has funded more than 700 Fellows working with over 400 organizations around the world.
