Division Chief of Vascular Surgery
The Division works continually to improve quality of life for patients with vascular diseases. We are privileged to work with an outstanding team of faculty and community vascular specialists, cardiologists and cardiac surgeons, radiologists, podiatrists, rehabilitation specialists, basic scientists, engineers and computer scientists. Our ongoing collaborations have promoted remarkable academic and clinical productivity involving new and dramatically improved techniques for the diagnosis and treatment of vascular disease, gaining the Division international recognition as a Vascular Center of Excellence.
The faculty is distinguished by expertise in many aspects of vascular disease management, but perhaps none more so than aortic aneurysm disease. Stanford Vascular Surgeons are recognized around the world as leaders in aortic aneurysm treatment and research.

We are thrilled to congratulate former integrated residency alum Dr. Chelsea Dorsey on her promotion to Vice-Chair of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for DOS.
Vascular Surgery Division Chief
We are excited to announce Dr. Jason Lee as the new Chief of the Division of Vascular Surgery. Dr. Lee joined the faculty in 2006 after completing his 2-year vascular fellowship at Stanford. He was Residency/Fellowship Program director from 2011-2020 and is currently the President of the Vascular and Endovascular Surgical Society. We look forward to Dr. Lee's leadership.
Dr. Sayed receives R01
Dr. Nazish Sayed, an Assistant Professor in the Division of Vascular Surgery and The Stanford Cardiovascular Institute has received a NIH-NHLBI R01 grant. This ~ $2M grant for 5-years "Deciphering the Endothelial Cell-Cardiomyocyte Crosstalk in LMNA Cardiomyopathy” will investigate the role of the vasculature in inherited cardiac diseases, thereby bridging work from both the Division of Vascular Surgery and the Stanford Cardiovascular Institute.
