Or Gozani, MD, PhD

Professor of Biology

Or GozaniOr attended UC Berkeley for college. After college, he took a year off to work and travel in Europe and Asia. Or then attended Harvard Medical School to pursue MD and PhD training. He decided to stay in Boston for his post-doctoral research, also at Harvard Medical School. In 2005 Or started his lab at Stanford studying chromatin biology and epigenetic signaling. Outside of the lab, Or enjoys watching basketball, football and pretty much all sports, playing tennis (realistically he can’t play bball anymore), walking his dog Frodo, and long meals with family and friends.

As a SoLID faculty mentor, Or brings his experiences as a graduate research mentor, member of many thesis advisory committees, and pre-major and major advisor for Stanford undergraduates. Or is available to talk about any of the diverse and unique challenges students face as they navigate graduate school.
