Our Mission:
The Women's Community Center exists to facilitate growth and engagement for Stanford students around issues of gender, equity, identity, and justice.
We do this by building community and providing innovative opportunities to explore scholarship, leadership, and activism.
Our approach is inclusive, intersectional, and welcoming of people of any background or level of prior engagement with these issues.

In order to for us to collectively dismantle white supremacy, patriarchy, and oppression, we must speak out and stand against the violence being inflected on our marginalized communities. The WCC stands in solidarity with the Asian and Asian American Community. BLACK LIVES MATTER. The nature of intersectional feminist work requires us to stand up and work towards justice and equity with attention to the intersection of oppressed parts of our identities. This cannot be done without full support and solidarity for Black liberation. This requires a focus on dismantling white supremacy, patriarchy, and structural inequalities across the board. Friday, April 30, 2021 After a year of uncertainty, it is the joy of the Women’s Community Center to announce that we will be featuring Actress and Activist, Dominique Jackson, alongside a panel of inspiring local activists to share their wisdom, stories, and journey to activism with the Stanford community and beyond. Co-sponsored by the Centers for Equity, Community, and Leadership, with additional support by Queer Student Resources and Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. |
