An article this weekend on Page 17 about a Times reporter’s experience growing up with parents in the carnival business misstates the release date of the original film adaptation of “Nightmare Alley.” It was 1947, not 1949.
BOOK REVIEW
A review on Dec. 5 about Alex Danchev and Sarah Whitfield’s “Magritte: A Life,” using information from the book, misstated René Magritte’s age at the time of his death. He was 68, not 69.
The Editors’ Choice column last Sunday misstated Greta Garbo’s age when she arrived in Hollywood. She was 19, not 22.

A picture caption on Page 9 this weekend misspells the given name of the photographer shown in her Brooklyn studio. She is Deana Lawson, not Deanna.
