Almost a year after allegations of silencing sexual misconduct and assault survivors, the Stanford Band is working towards organizational and cultural change.

The decision came after a debate on whether the case in question, Sophomore Class President Slate Coalition v. Elections Commission, fell under the Council’s jurisdiction. A hearing is scheduled for next week.

Stanford Ph.D. student Antonio López addressed the election charges brought forth against him in a press conference on Thursday. The San Mateo Superior Court cleared all charges on March 10.

Alongside community members, East Palo Alto city councilmember Antonio López — a Stanford Ph.D. student — is pushing to diversify school district leadership for the community he grew up in.

“It’s really hard to do meaningful work in the Senate when you don’t know what’s been previously done,” Emily Nichols ’23 said at the Undergraduate Senate’s Thursday meeting. The Senate unanimously passed a bill to streamline the committee selection process and organize the records of past resolutions by policy area.
