Softball cruises en route to 4-0 start

Led by a strong pitching effort and a trio of juniors each with batting averages of at least .500, the Cardinal finished its first weekend of play with a 4-0 record and high hopes for a season that could catapult Stanford into the discussion of elite softball programs on the west coast.

On December 29th, the men’s basketball team (11-1, 0-0 Pac-12) will take on No. 5 Kansas (9-2, Big 12) in its biggest matchup of the year. Stanford is off to its best start since 2008. In 2003, Stanford beat Kansas, who was the top-ranked team at the time.
