Women’s volleyball bests the Utes

No. 18 Stanford women’s volleyball (10-5, 5-2 Pac-12) hosted No. 17 Utah (11-5, 4-3 Pac-12) Thursday night at Maples Pavilion. In an important match in the ultra-competitive Pac-12, the Cardinal fended off the Utes to win 3-1.

Zhang, women’s golf sweep Windy City Collegiate Classic

In its second event of the fall season, Stanford women’s golf competed in the Windy City Collegiate Classic at Westmoreland Country Club in Wilmette, Ill. The Cardinal posted consistently low scores throughout the tournament to cruise to an eight-stroke victory; on the individual side, freshman Rose Zhang won her second consecutive event to open her collegiate career.

Heck wins NCAA individual title, women’s golf falls in quarterfinals

Stanford women’s golf competed for the NCAA Championship this week at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz. After advancing through stroke play as the top seed, Stanford fell to Arizona in a brutally close quarterfinal match. Freshman Rachel Heck put the finishing touches on one of the best individual seasons in NCAA history, winning the stroke play title with a score of eight-under-par.

Shorthanded men’s golf misses NCAA Championship cut

Stanford men’s golf looked to qualify for its seventh consecutive NCAA Championship this week, competing in the NCAA Albuquerque Regional at the University of New Mexico Championship Golf Course. Needing a fifth place finish to advance, the Cardinal’s season came to an end as they finished in a tie for seventh.
