Undergraduate Programs

FSI faculty teach over 65 classes per year to Stanford students and work side by side with them on mentored research. Undergraduates have a variety of opportunities to engage in advanced research, from honors programs to fieldwork and internship placements. Additionally, FSI now offers a minor in Global Studies with a specialization in European Studies through The Europe Center. Visit the Student Programs website to see all of our undergraduate opportunities, or select one from the links below.

Graduate Programs

FSI welcomes graduate students for a variety of fellowships, pre- and post-doctoral appointments, and research projects. We are also home to the Ford Dorsey Master's in International Policy, a two-year professional master's degree program that trains future policy professionals.

Professional Development & Training

Many of FSI's centers and programs offer education and training to international affairs professionals. At the Center on Democracy, Development and the Rule of Law, civil society programs such as the Draper Hills Summer Fellows Program and the Leadership Academy for Development offer intensive programs to emerging leaders.  SPICE K-12 curricula are available to teachers in conjunction with training workshops, and the Rural Education Action Program works directly with Chinese officials in rural areas on child health, nutrition and education.

Ford Dorsey Master's in International Policy

At Stanford's Ford Dorsey Master's in International Policy (MIP), students examine complex, real-world policy problems and propose solutions. MIP offers a distinctly interdisciplinary approach to bridging theory and practice.
