A Bunch of Lonesome Heroes...

The Fountain Gate
was repaired by Shallun son of Col-Hozeh,
ruler of the district of Mizpah.
He rebuilt it, roofing it over
and putting its doors and bolts and bars in place.
He also repaired the wall of the Pool of Siloam,
by the King's Garden,
as far as the steps going down from the City of David.
Beyond him, Nehemiah son of Azbuk,
ruler of a half-district of Beth Zur,
made repairs up to a point opposite the tombs of David,
as far as the artificial pool
and the House of the Heroes.
~ Nehemiah 3

Blessed are those who wash their robes,
that they may have the right to the tree of life
and may go through the gates into the city.
~ Revelation 22

Within You Without You

We were talking
about the love that's gone so cold
and the people,
Who gain the world
and lose their soul
They don't know
they can't see
are you one of them?
When you've seen beyond yourself
then you may find
peace of mind,
Is waiting there-
And the time will come
when you see
we're all one,
and life flows on within you
and without you.

What good will it be for a man
if he gains the whole world,
yet forfeits his soul?
Or what can a man give
in exchange for his soul?
For the Son of Man is going to come
in his Father's glory with his angels,
and then he will reward each person
according to what he has done.
~ Matisyahu 16

Everyone Must Perish

If you violate the covenant
of the LORD your God,
which he commanded you,
and go and serve other gods
and bow down to them,
the LORD's anger will burn against you,
and you will quickly perish
from the good land he has given you
~ Joshua 23

Say My Name

Give thanks to the LORD,
call on his name;
make known among the nations
what he has done.
~ Psalm 105

Warrior

You're a Priest and a Prince and you can't be moved....

We have this hope
as an anchor for the soul,
firm and secure.
It enters the inner sanctuary
behind the curtain,
where Jesus,
who went before us,
has entered on our behalf.
He has become a high priest forever,
in the order of Melchizedek.
~ Hebrews 6

The Power Of STFU

Set a guard over my mouth, O LORD;
keep watch over the door of my lips.
~ Psalm 141

If Not For You...

If they persecuted me,
they will persecute you also.
If they obeyed my teaching,
they will obey yours also.
They will treat you this way because of my name,
for they do not know the One who sent me.
If I had not come and spoken to them,
they would not be guilty of sin.
Now, however, they have no excuse for their sin.
He who hates me hates my Father as well.
If I had not done among them what no one else did,
they would not be guilty of sin.
But now they have seen these miracles,
and yet they have hated both me and my Father.
But this is to fulfill what is written in the Law:
"They hated me without reason"
When the Counselor comes,
whom I will send to you from the Father,
the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father,
he will testify about me.
And you also must testify,
for you have been with me from the beginning.
~ John 15

Some Good Old Mountain Jews

How can you believe
if you accept praise from one another,
yet make no effort to obtain the praise
that comes from the only God?
Do not think I will accuse you before the Father.
Your accuser is Moses,
on whom your hopes are set.
If you believed Moses,
you would believe me,
for he wrote about me.
~ John 5

The Low Spark Of Die Healed Boys

O LORD my GOD,
I called to you for help
and you healed me.
~ Psalm 30

The Strange Love Of Lowlife Freaks

It is written: "Be holy, because I am holy."
Since you call on a Father
who judges each man's work impartially,
live your lives as strangers here
in reverent fear.
~ 1 Peter 1

Who's Behind The Door?

If you do what is right,
will you not be accepted?
But if you do not do what is right,
sin is crouching at your door;
it desires to have you,
but you must master it.
~ Genesis 4

Perfect Strangers

"I am the echo of your past......."

Hear my prayer, O LORD,
listen to my cry for help;
be not deaf to my weeping.
For I dwell with you as an alien,
as a stranger,
as all my fathers were.
~ Psalm 39
