A great advise for new muslims
MUSLIM SALAD
By: Aaron Haroon Sellars © 2007
Before Islam I was lost
And after Islam I was lost
Between this and that group
Was I tossed
A bookstore Shaykh
Not even worth a dollar
With do-it-yourself Islam
Who needs a scholar?
Tossed so much
Might as well been a salad
I was quoting Hadeeth
But my wudu was invalid
If I can’t purify my outer
Then what about my inner?
Piles of books
But still a big sinner
What I know, doesn’t show
And now I know better
That’s what happens without the spirit
And only the letter
So attach myself I must
To scholars with unbroken chains
For this is the means
By which pure knowledge remains
Sufi said this on February 18, 2008 at 9:15 pm
O God, Whenever I listen to the voice of anything
You have made -
The rustling of the trees
The trickling of water
The cries of birds
The flickering of shadow
The roar of the wind
The song of the thunder, I hear it saying:
“God is One!
Nothing can be compared with God!”
Rabi’a al-’Adawiyya.
A certain gnostic once said,”A donkey has more knowledge of God than someone who seeks proof of God’s oneness”.Therefore let not your perception of existent things be that of the suckling child,or the hardened denier, both of whom see them as mere concrete forms.Instead, let is be that of a wise man who understands the signs and sees the creator in the creation, the Fashioner in the fashioned universe. If you think that their formation and molding was a formidable task then know that their creator is more Formidable still ,and that He encompasses all things.
A certain poet once expressed this well:
All you grasp with you imagination;
Majesty,ability and exaltation,
Higher is He who originated creation,
Transcendent is He to whom belongs origination!
Do they not travel through the land, so that their hearts (and minds) may
thus learn wisdom and their ears may thus learn to hear? Truly it is not their eyes that
are blind, but their hearts which are in their breasts.Quran 22.46

The “great truth” of the islamsister blog is that I do not see how it is possible for a muslim/muslims to write all that content there and still call themselves Muslims!!!! La, by the One who created me, anyone who calls for the Qur’an to be banned is NOT a Muslim!! Anyone who affiliates with apostates and the disbelievers in general and strives with them to destroy Islam, Allah will destroy them, if they do not repent. I love Islam and it is my life, so please, do not call yourself a sister of the Muslim women. Amina, I hope you forgive me for writing this comment, but this deen needs to be defended against these mischief seekers who seek to misguide the believers.Allahu musta’an.

Answer yes or no.
About God
1. Human faculties of conception, perception and learning, and attributes of volition, intuition and apprehension cannot catch sight of
His Person or fathom the extent of His Might and Glory? ………….
2. There do not exist words in any language to specify or define His qualities, peculiarities, characteristics and singularities? ……….
3. Reason and sagacity cannot visualise Him? ………
4. His Attributes cannot be fixed, limited or defined? …….
5. None can fully understand or explain His Being however hard he or she my try? ……..
6. His Worth cannot be described even by the greatest rhetoricians of all times? ……..
7. Intelligence, understanding and attainment cannot attain the depth of knowledge to study or scrutinise the Godhead? ……….
8. He is so absolutely Pure and above nature, that nothing can be added to or substacted from His Being? ………
9. There is no difference between His Person and His Attributes, and His Attributes should not be differentiated or distinguished from
His Person? ………..
10. Whoever accepts His Attributes to be other than His Person then actually forsakes the idea of Unity of God and believes in
duality ( He and His Attributes). Such a person in fact believes Him to exist in Parts. One who holds such a faith cannot form a
true concept of God, he is ignorant and will always try to believe in some creation of his or her imagination as his or her god? …..
11. His Existence is not coming into Being from non-existence? …………
12. He is with everything but not physically and bodily? …….
13. No physical eye has and will ever see Him? ………
14. He has not permitted human mind to grasp the Essence of His Being yet He has not prevented them from realising His
Presence? ………

IMRAN ALI said this on June 8, 2008 at 5:14 pm
To say that God is One has four meanings: Two of those meanings are incorrect and two are correct. The incorrect meanings are
The first incorrect meaning is that when a person says: “God is One” he thinks in terms of numbers. He is therefore at error, because the Being of God has no second, thus it cannot enter into the category of numbers. Don’t you see that those who say God is the third of a Trinity [i.e., the Christians] fell into infidelity?
The second incorrect meaning is to say that an entity belongs to a species or a member of a species. This does not apply to God, for it implies something is similar to God: But God is above all similarities, for He is unique.
As to the two meanings which are correct when applied to God:
The first correct meaning is to say that God is One in the sense that there is no likeness unto Him, since only God possesses such uniqueness.
The second correct meaning is to say that God is One in the sense that there is no multiplicity or division conceivable in Him, neither outwardly nor in the mind nor in the imagination. Only God possesses such a Oneness (unity)

First of all I’m not a good match-maker…in fact I’m so pathetic that I can’t even find match for myself Secondly I’m not sure how or if muslim ladies that I know here, would marry and go all the way to India from Europe. Insha Allah, you will find your life partner soon.
Now, Mr Mercy Awan
that was really interesting thought, never heard it before, we will all surely benefit from it, thx! It has actually reminded me of song called: “One love” by U2. Have you ever heard it? Version with Mary J Blige is awesome!

Salaams Omar,
Best translation of Qur’an in polish language is, as I humbly believe, one done by Jozef Bielawski.
I am still looking for hard copy, however there is one organization that have free Islamic literature, including translation of Qur’an in Polish, this is a great way to start.
You can send your request to mail: CIM_SOCIETY@YAHOO.COM
They have books on Islam translated into many languages (German, French, Russian, Asian languages etc), and its all free and posted directly to your house.

To the lovely Ms. Amina: I have written a new blog entry on Hafiz. I’m very interested in your opinion on this and how it meshes or does not mesh with Islam as you practice it. I wish to visit Shiraz so badly and discover the part of Iran and Persian history and culture which never get publicized by U.S. journalists.
Whenever I read the work of Hafiz, I ask myself, “If Iran is so conservative, why do people revere this poet’s very tombstone?”
