Secretary of State Hillary Clinton just spoke to AIPAC, where 7,500 people had gathered to hear her preach the word. According to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency and the Israel Project, Clinton condemned both the Palestinian “culture of hate” and its “incitement” to murder Jews based on falsified information — and the Israeli “settlement” construction which, she claimed, “undermines America’s unique ability to play a role” in the peace process.
The two are not the same and are not morally equivalent; further, Israel does not exist in order to allow America to claim prowess in taming the Jewish state — even as it fails to confront Iran and jihad in a meaningful way. Indeed, when has America castigated the Palestinians for their grave and terrible “incitement” in the way they have just castigated the Israelis for their “settlement” (or rather apartment unit) construction?
Clinton said that “new construction in East Jerusalem or the West Bank undermines mutual trust and endangers the proximity talks that are the first step toward the full negotiations that both sides want and need.” Ahem. There is only one side that wants negotiation and a two-state solution. That side is Israel. The Palestinians remain divided — and are only united in their refusal to accept a Palestinian state except if that state will occupy space “from the river to the sea,” which would mean the destruction of the only Jewish state.
For the record, Clinton stressed that America was a strong supporter of Israel. She said: “Our commitment to Israel’s security and Israel’s future is rock solid. … Guaranteeing Israel’s security is more than a policy position for me. It is a personal commitment that will never waver.” (Hope she means it. Hope she means it more than she “meant it” when she embraced Suha Arafat who had just finished excoriating the Israelis for poisoning the Palestinian women. God I hope she means it so much that Obama will sell the bunker busters, Apache helicopters, and refueling systems to Israel without which Israel cannot defend itself against Iran — alright, will not have the option of confronting Iran on Iranian soil).
As expected, Clinton received several standing ovations.
She also stated that “elements in Iran’s government have become a menace, both to their own people and in the region. Iran’s President foments anti-Semitism and threatens to destroy Israel.”
However, it is entirely unclear what she and President Obama are planning to do about this. Thus far, they have only appeased Iran and our various enemies and humiliated, shamed, and scapegoated Israel for America’s inability or refusal to take on Islamism and jihad.
Clinton did say: “Our message to Hamas is clear: Renounce violence, recognize Israel, and abide by previous signed agreements. And I will repeat today what I have said many times before: Gilad Shalit must be released immediately and reunited with his family.”

Dear Phyllis, As an American Israeli Jew I find it heartbreakingly appropriate that Barack Hussein Obama should choose the Passover season to vent his barely concealed hostility towards Israel in the coarsest and most venal way possible. I find it equally deplorable that Hillary Clinton, and the various spokesmen for the Obama Administration should go so far overboard in their venomous criticism of Israel. It is almost as if they are advisors to the Pharaoh of the Exodus, and are trying to outdo their Pharaoh, Obama, in seeing who can heap the most unjustified, unbalanced, and almost hysterical criticism on Israel.
But Obama might want to take a page from the Torah and realize that what ultimately happened to the Pharaoh of the Exodus was the destruction of Pharaoh’s family, his army, his Kingdom and finally the destruction of Egypt.
There is no tyrant, no Czar, no German Fuhrer, no Commissar, no Emir, and maybe no President Obama who has ever wickedly oppressed the Israel and lived to enjoy it. They have all been ruined or killed, along with their evil followers, and in the end well deservedly tossed into the dust bin of history.
I would add only one more comment, more for American Jews than Israeli Jews because we Jews here in Israel recognize just how much Barack Obama despises us, and we make no bones about it. When Obama or Hillary Clinton make remarks that they strongly support Israel, that Israeli security is their foremost concern, or that Israel is America’s strongest ally in the Middle East, they mean it, but only in their sense of those words. What they mean by Israel living in security is a terrorist Palestinian state in the heart of Israel, always a threat and sometimes attacking Israel, just like the Hamas in the Gaza Strip. When they say a strong ally, they really mean a broken and dependent Israel willing to toe whatever line of appeasement that Obama and Hillary happen to want that day.
Simply put my dear American Jewish brothers and sisters, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton do not mean the same thing you mean when they claim to be supportive of Israel, so be careful when you applaud them for their support because it is definitely NOT what you think.
The first chance Obama gets, he will drop Israel like the proverbial hot potatoe and run laughing into the arms of his real friends, the Arabs.

It is unfortunate that Secretary Clinton is equating Israeli settlement policy with the Arab culture of hatred. The equations don’t balance. On the other hand, she is so very much better than Secretary James Baker was. And as bad as Old Bush and Baker were, they were better than Eisenhower, who maintained an arms embargo against Israel.
Translations of the Hamas Charter ought to be available and publicized. Is there a way to get this done? Nasrallah’s statement about Jews in 2002, printed in the Lebanon Star, should be publiczed as well. Nasrallah said, “If they all gather in Israel, it will save us the trouble of going after them worldwide.”

Here is the deal with Clinton and all the ruling elites. Campaigning on the women’s rights issue she came into office and destroyed every program in the State Dept to help the women of Afghanistan. When BO said the veil was a choice, the next day she wore a head covering. She never made any statement contradicting him.
Although she wiped away all Condi Rice’s programs she constantly makes speeches TO WOMEN’S GROUPS talking about her commitment to women’s rights globally. The women in Congress do the same. They hold hearings voicing their concern, reintroduce the IVAWA with a lot of press, never intending to work for passage, and then trade women’s rights for a pathetic insurance reform bill. Lately, Hilly and the women in Congress assured their base that we will leave Afghanistan next year. None of the Dem “feminists” in Congress mention the fact that BO’s boys are negotiating to make the Taliban part of the government.
So now you say Hilly is parroting the BO line of moral equivalence between Hamas and Israel – what else is new?
I was driving home from work in Jerusalem today when I heard this highlight from Hilary (via the Z street link above):
“The United States stands ready to play an active and sustained role in these talks, and to support the parties as they work to resolve permanent status issues including security, borders, refugees, and Jerusalem.”
The fact that Jerusalem has suddenly gone on the chopping block with barely a sound from ISrael’s supporters abroad is astounding to me.
Let me speak for Jerusalem’s residents: we’re not going anywhere.

It is most appropriate that Shrillary Clinton gave the speech she gave right before Passover. It places her boss in the seat of paró, and herself, she who hugged Suha Arafat, as his “half sister”, so to speak.
Together, the two (along with Biden and all the Jew-hating and self-hating Jews at Obama’s beck and call) make a pair of Jew-haters at the top of America – an ugly pustule of Jew-hatred that only the blind fools of AIPAC would miss. Because of his complete lack of executive experience, BHO gave Clinton the very best possible position from which to build and launch her 2012 primary bid against him. A big part of her 2012 bid requires that she leave herself a position from which to leverage her unassailable moral authority as Secretary of State to attack BHO’s foreign policy with respect to Israel, in exactly the same way she attacked GWB’s policies after so dutifully supporting those policies when they were in favor. Seen in that light, this looks like an attempt at stock Clintonian Triangulation. It can later be referenced as her attempt to side with Israel when BHO was clearly working to support Israel’s enemies.

The army commander asks for air support which is denied, and President Hillary tells the commander to surrender to the Arabs to avoid an international incident.

I take issue with the entire premise that the setllements, particularly those within the Jerusalem boundaries are somehow “illegal.” Nations that are victorious in war get to determine boundaries and other outcomes. To note some examples, following World War I Italy annexed the South Tyrol, following the Russo-Finnish war of 1940 the Soviets annexed Karelia, after World War II the Poles annexed East Prussia and the Soviets annexed Konigsburg. The most significant recent annexation would be that of Tibet following the Chinese invasion and occupation. China built settlements and brought in hundreds of thousands of Han Chinese to change the demographics of Tibet. Chinese officials replaced native Tibetans and the entire country became a province of the Chinese nation. Surely Israels annexation of a relatively few square miles of territory in Jerusalem and the West Bank pales alongside the examples I have shown. Neither the UN or our government have shown any interest in rescinding any of these territorial changes. Of course there have been many other similar annexations over the past century but only Israel is condemned by the UN and the US for doing what history tells us is a commonplace occurance. I know that the anti-Semites rule the UN but it seems that the Arabists still hold sway in our own State Department. The lack of fairness and objectivity on the whole issue of Jerusalem can only be acknowledged as anti-Jewish bias.
By the time American Jews figure out that Obama and Clinton aren’t their friends, it will be too late. I’m beginning to wonder if there is something in the water here in this country that causes people to lose their memory. Either that, or the lure of the easy life has just become too enticing and no one wants to bother with standing up for Israel.
