list of congressional statements calling for the U.S. to defuse tensions with Israel. Rep. Nita Lowey (D-NY), said that she, "stands firm in [her] commitment to maintaining Israel's qualitative military edge and a strong U.S.-Israel relationship."
A letter to the president, led by Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) and Republican Whip Eric Cantor (R-VA), urged Obama to, "publicly express the United States' unwavering support for Israel." Senator Russ Feingold (D-WI) said that, "strong U.S.-Israeli relations are essential to the national security of both countries."

Clinton will address more than 6,000 conference delegates.
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has confirmed that she will address a plenary session at AIPAC Policy Conference 2010, which will be held March 21-23 in Washington, D.C. This will be her first policy address on the U.S.-Israel relationship since joining the Obama administration. Secretary Clinton joins a list of other dignitaries who have confirmed their attendance, including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Quartet Representative Tony Blair.
