When I read about this story in the local Detroit newspaper the other day, it broke my heart.  This father made the ultimate sacrifice to save his son amidst the typical Detroit gunshots . . . in this case from an AK-47 in a fight over a car.

David Adams is a hero.  He was a poor, working-class mechanic who got work through word of mouth and repaired cars out of his house.  His funeral was today.  But you don’t see many stories like that of this 35-year-old in our feminized, anti-male society.  And sadly, this is what happens in Detroit every day of the week.  I don’t look for it to change, only to get worse. Don’t believe the woman in the video who claims this doesn’t normally happen in her neighborhood. It happens all over the city.

Some Israeli TV ads are quite clever, although this one doesn’t necessarily look like it will be that funny.  Still, I love how CNN (the Crescent News Network) has its panties in a bunch over an Israeli supermarket ad mocking the Dubai assassination of HAMAS operative Mahmoud Al-Mabhouh a/k/a “Abu Abed.” Give all credit where it is due to the creativity of Machsanei Kimat Chinam, the Israeli supermarket that thought this up and is getting tons of free publicity from the faux-outrage over this ad.

CNN International, which blocks its videos in the U.S.  on YouTube, called it “in poor taste.”  As if CNN has a clue what “taste” is.  (Have they bothered to listen to any reports by Christiane Amanpour?  Now, that’s poor taste.)

I love the false, overwrought outrage these lefties display over trivial nothings while they look the other way at Islamic terrorism–mass murders in cold blood–all around the world.  And I hope the entire world is upset–as they always are by cheeky Israeli TV ads–by this in-your-face video thumbing of the nose. If only they had the supermarket shoppers killing an Islamic terrorist for a real “clean-up on Aisle 8.” Oh, and they need to show the incompetent supermarket security guard, who could double as Dubai’s bungling police chief.

Be Nice to Illegal Aliens During Census

As if morale at Barack Obama’s and Janet Napolitano’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) wasn’t bad enough, it just got worse.  Agents are already frustrated that worksite enforcement raids against illegal aliens and their employers are mostly non-existent and that they are repeatedly nixed and canceled because of fears of bad press and whining from illegal alien groups, like that after a Washington State raid, early last year.  The agents tell me that they need to fill out about seven cumbersome forms and get ICE headquarters approval before they arrest an illegal alien.

When we last saw Obama’s ICE chief John Morton–whom ICE agents appropriately refer to as John Moron–he was yukking it up with open Jew-hater Zahi Hawass and an Egyptian sarcophagus.  Now he’s ordering ICE agents to stay away from illegal aliens while they fill out their Census forms.  It’s like a bad SNL skit, except that it’s true.

For the last several years, Sean Hannity and the Freedom Alliance “charity” have conducted “Freedom Concerts” across America. They’ve told you that they are raising money to pay for the college tuition of the children of fallen soldiers and to pay severely wounded war vets.  And on Friday Night, Hannity will be honored with an award for this “Outstanding Community Service by a Radio Talk Show Host” at Talkers Magazine’s  convention.

But it’s all a huge scam.

In fact, less than 20%–and in two recent years, less than 7% and 4%, respectively–of the money raised by Freedom Alliance went to these causes, while millions of dollars went to expenses, including consultants and apparently to ferret the Hannity posse of family and friends in high style. And, despite Hannity’s statements to the contrary on his nationally syndicated radio show, few of the children of fallen soldiers got more than $1,000-$2,000, with apparently none getting more than $6,000, while Freedom Alliance appears to have spent tens of thousands of dollars for private planes.  Moreover, despite written assurances to donors that all money raised would go directly to scholarships for kids of the fallen heroes and not to expenses, has begun charging expenses of nearly $500,000 to give out just over $800,000 in scholarships.

As you know, it’s St. Patrick’s Day.  I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again.  The legend is that Patrick was sainted for chasing all the snakes out of Ireland.  But the reality is that, instead, Ireland is filled with extremist Muslims.  Here are the details I’ve written about in years past.  Note the old Irish joke I used to tell about Palestinian terrorists in Ireland, which has, sadly, now become reality.

Yet another Black actress is crying “racism” against Hollywood.  While I’m no defender of Hollywood, the cries of racism are growing a little tired, especially when this actress got major roles in last year’s two biggest movies . . . because she’s Black.

Actress Zoe Saldana was cast in major roles in both “Avatar” (read my review)–last year’s biggest movie and the biggest of all time in terms of box office total–and “Star Trek” (read my review), the remake starring Chris Pine.  These are both movies in which any White actress/waitress would die to get a role as an extra.  And she had major roles in both, but yet still cries racism in the April 2010 issue of Glamour Magazine (on the cover of which she’d likely never appear . . . if she wasn’t Black).

Ethnic is a word that doesn’t exist in my vocabulary. In Hollywood, you hear things like, “Oh, they loved you but they want to go more traditional.” That’s the new N word.

Palestinians are calling it the “Third Intifada” [Intifada means "uprising"]. And HAMAS is capitalizing on it. Yup, Obama/Biden/Clinton is the new inspiration for HAMAS (and Fatah) violence.

These three stooges are personally responsible for the molotov cocktails being thrown, tires and garbage bins set ablaze and the heaviest clashes in months in Israel.  They lit the fire for this “Day of Rage” that will likely now turn into dayS of rage. They used as their faux-excuse the re-dedication of the Hurva Synagogue, which has been in Jerusalem since the 1860s and which was desecrated by Jordanian Muslims in 1948, after Israel became a state. We’re not even talking new homes, here. I guess it’s now a crime to refurbish a synagogue that’s been around for 150 years. But that’s the Palestinian way, and the synagogue is merely the pretext for a riot in conjunction with the Obama-Biden-Clinton “moral outrage.”

The Palestinians can’t be caught being “out-Palestinianed” by these three Evil Westerners from the Great Satan ally of the Evil Zionist Empire.  So, they had to take appropriate action.  Anyone who didn’t predict this simply doesn’t understand Arab pride and the ethos on the Arab street. And, now, we have explosives and rock throwing, violent protests, etc.  breaking out all over Jerusalem and other parts of Israel. The only good thing to come out of this is that Obama’s partisan Middle East Envoy, George Mitchell–an Arab who is very anti-Israel–has canceled his trip to pressure Israel. So sad, too bad.

It started out as a normal, regular announcement of new construction of homes in Israel . . . inside the Green Line.  It’s unremarkable, something that happens every day in Israel, just as it happens every day in most developed, Western countries around the world. And definitely not the outrage the Obamaniks wrought over it. Not even close.

Major job losses continue throughout America and a tough economy endures.  Companies continue to walk away and ship jobs elsewhere.  Unemployment in places like Michigan is up to 16% but in real unemployment it’s more like upwards of 20%, when you count those who are not looking anymore and have given up.  And the associated problems of lack of spending and, therefore, loss of more jobs.

Barack Takes Important Step to Save America

So, how does President Barack Obama address this?  Well, he takes the most important step in creating jobs and opportunity in America.  And that’s the real March Madness:

The Hoopster-in-Chief chose Kansas, Kentucky, Kansas State and Villanova to make the men’s Final Four.

And as I noted, this star-struck, look-at-me-I’m-Prez cretin did the same thing, last year. And just like, last year, he made a big deal of spending time with ESPN to make his picks and present them in a special video, today. Maybe one day, he’ll make the American people his pick. Wishful thinking.

Oh, and in case, he didn’t waste enough time on this trivial matter, Obama also made his picks in the most irrelevant sporting event out there, the womens’ NCAA basketball tournament.

Priorities, shmiorities. We know he’s not serious. And, in case we needed more proof (we didn’t), this is it.

If your daughter is a Girl Scout, you might hear about how horrible you are for serving meat for dinner. You see, meat is one of the new enemies of the Girl Scouts’ green zealotry. Ditto for toilets that only need to be flushed once.

As a kid, I was a Brownie and then a Girl Scout.  But our troop–which was made up of the girls in my class at a private Jewish school and was headed by my mom and her friend–wasn’t political.  We baked stuff, learned how to tie knots and build tents, and we visited sick people in hospitals and old people in nursing homes who had nobody else to visit them.

Sadly, as I’ve noted several times in the past, the Girl Scouts is no longer what it used to be . . . and not in a good way.  In the recent past, Girl Scout badges are given out to scouts when they “master” the feminist view that men and marriage are bad and learn how to live as a single mother.  In addition, the Girl Scouts have embraced goths and worked with Planned Parenthood to “educate” Girl Scouts about abortion and condoms (and sleeping around). I guess that’s consistent with the single motherhood badge.

Now, the Girl Scouts are embracing the global warming, climate change, and green baloney.  Not only that, but the organization is making the green junk science a central Girl Scouts theme in conjunction with the organization’s 100th anniversary in 2012.  It’s a desperate, politically correct attempt to stem the hemorrhaging of the no longer hip organization that is nearly dead and definitely brain-dead in the age of Facebook, Twitter, and texting. It won’t work.

Although the organization has always strived to create stewards of nature, today, Girls Scouts of the USA is stepping up its “green” efforts as it prepares to celebrate its 100th anniversary in March 2012.

Many times over the years I’ve written about the right of Jews to live (and buy property, if they don’t already own it, and build homes) anywhere in the world we want.  That includes when the Bush Administration was making the same noxious statements as the Obamaniks are now making about apartments and homes for Jews in the eternal Jewish capital of Jerusalem, the City of David.  My sentiments haven’t changed, though I think it’s interesting that many on the right said nothing when Condi Clueless and Colin Powell and other Bushies were pressuring Israel on this issue, and yet they’re yelling from the rooftops now that it’s Obama. I’ve already criticized Obama on this issue, several times.  And I’ve written, “Whose Jerusalem?” which has everything you need to know about the faux-history and apocryphal claims of the Muslims to Jerusalem.

“Jews Not Wanted Here”

Clearly, I find the Obama statements and actions on the 1600 Jewish apartments scheduled to be built in Israel to be loathsome–especially the hypocritical comments of Hillary Clinton who carpet-bagged from suburban Chicago to Arkansas and then to suburban New York.  She can move and build and run for Senator from wherever she wants.  And yet Jews aren’t allowed to do the same from where they’ve ALWAYS lived . . . for thousands of years?!  Hellooo . . . .? And FYI, those 1600 homes are to be built in a section of Jerusalem that is inside the Green Zone and was never going to be part of any planned, execrable “Palestinian State.”

Our friend, There Is No Santa Claus,has a great column–which is short but sweet, and very sharp–on this issue.  Here’s an excerpt:

Why is it that I can’t build a house in Jerusalem? I’m Jewish! Jerusalem is the eternal capital of the Jewish People.

Nobody questioned whether a black man could move into the White House, the capital of the United States. Certainly not Jewish-Americans, 77% of whom voted for Barack O’Bama to be our President.
