SRINAGAR: An eight-year-old was killed and six other students of Nadihal high school were injured in a grenade blast in the school compound in Bandipore, Baramulla district of north Kashmir on Friday.The victim, identified as Moshin Sarwar, was killed on the spot while the injured were rushed to hospital. The police said unknown militants, in a bid to attack an army camp, threw a hand grenade that fell inside the school compound.
However, a defence spokesman countered the police version saying the explosive device was in the school bag of the deceased child. Following the blast, residents of the township took to the streets to express their resentment.

Remember the "loaded diaper effect" that was used by the Viet Cong? Then as today, there are no innocents, no non-combatants, and everyone is expendable.
Behind the 8-year-old suicide bomber is an adult who guided, trained, and put him up to such a stunt. If the creep is ever captured, he deserves to be bound hand and foot, smeared with honey, and put in a cage with swarms of rats and flies.
Maybe he found the grenade and took it to school out of ignorance. Sounds sick, but rememeber "show and tell"? Heck, if I was eight years old and found a grenade, I'd prolly do something stupid like that too!
For a minute there, I thought this item was about the PA (where children are coached in their cradles to aspire to be jihaddis) and not Kashmir. But I guess this insanity will take root anywhere Muslims feel agrieved.
