A militant Somali Muslim cleric has warned of a Holy War or "Jihad" if foreign peacekeepers are deployed.Sheikh Hassan Dahir Aweys is a senior member of the Islamic courts, which has a militia, and is accused by the United States of having links to al-Qaeda.
President Abdullahi Yusuf wants peacekeepers to protect his government when it relocates from Kenya.
Somalia has not had a functioning government for 14 years and has been
divided by rival warlords....Mr Aweys, who denies that any terror groups operate in Somalia, said it would be the religious duty of all Somalis to fight any peacekeeping force.
"We will fight fiercely to the death any intervention force that arrives in Somalia," he said.
He also urged foreign countries not to fund the proposed peace force.
East African countries have agreed to send some 6,800 Sudanese and Ugandan troops to Somalia.
Several Mogadishu-based warlords, named in Mr Yusuf's exiled government, have also opposed the use of foreign troops....

The threat was made to all foreign peacekeepers --African as well as American ones. But they were also seen, not quite accurately, as Infidels.
Nothing need be done in Somalia, from the Infidel point of view, except to keep that country from acquiring major weapons, and prevent more Somali Muslims from settling in the non-Muslim Western world (especially Italy and the United States), where they inevitably add to the demographic problem, even if they were hard-working blahblahblah. The anecdotal evidence of one taxidriver who proudly told his fare (a friend of mine) a few weeks ago that, while other Somalis managed to keep several wives unknown to the American government (but somehow all supported by various entitlement programs, he, though as yet he still had only one wife, managed to produce with her "11 children" and counting.

If the Somalis want to leave, let them immigrate to one of their neighboring Islamic countries. Oh, wait. Never mind. They don't want the Somalis either.

The West, and the world, should grant them what they wish. No peacekeeping, no money, no arms, no nothing; let's leave them alone in their paradise to enjoy it. But for the sake of symmetry, practicing Wahhabi Somalis should be sent back to their Islamic paradise from all Western countries.

A dhimmi European country with generous welfare system recently announced that the unemployment rate among their large Somali "community" was 58%, compared to less than 20% among other (non-Muslim) immigrants. (And that means 58% of men, the statistics only count those on the job market; the women are at home anyway, living on the generous childcare grants and child benefits - meaning that more than 75% of adult Somalians in that particular harbi society do not work) Oh, and the Somali children are excused from participating in music lessons at school; they are allowed to listen to the Koran on headphones instead of listening to haram music, and chant it, instead of singing. You see, you don't mess with Somali customs; not in Somalia, not anywhere where the Somalis choose to settle... Don't mess with us with your peacekeepers; don't spoil our kids with your sinful infidel education, it's enough that you support them, and us, from your tax money, but see we'd need bigger (free) apartments for our large families.

I don't know if they see us as idiots but they do see us and infidels. For the most part, they simply see that taqiyya is working in the West.
If only 75% of the population living in the West understood the meaning of taqiyya and kitman then Islam would be confronted with the correct questions. So many things make sense when you understand that this practise is not only accepted, it is encouraged.

75%? 10% would be more than enough -- in this country, that would be 29 million people. 1% would do -- 2.9 million. That 10% or even 1% would be the core of the absolute unyielding, because fully informed, resistance, and could affect policy and attitudes at every level.
Meanwhile, the State Department continues to welcome hundreds of lucky Somalis to the U.S. via the Diversity Lottery. Fifty thousand foreigners are presented with green cards annually on the basis of a drawing.

Last I looked INS, State Department, FBI all worked for PResident Bush and he has no problem at all giving orders or wielding the Executive Order pen for the benefit of pharmaceuticals, oil companies, credit card companies, Boeing, Raytheon and Haliburton etc.

Let's not forget that the real start of the U.S.'s disasterous military involvement in Somalia came after 24 Pakistani UN peace-keepers (the world's rent-a-cops it seems, along with the Bangladeshi's) were murdered by Somali warlords. Not sure how much of bin Laden's boasting that he helped drive us out of Somalia is true, but the fact that he doesn't mind saying this and Muslims think him more of a heroe b/c of it shows how twisted their psyches can be. Helping a "Muslim brother" is good, but much better to attack the infidel, even if it involves killing other Muslims (Pakistanis, Iraqis) or turning a Muslim country into a hell-hole (Somalia, Iraq).

That will be the day when any country deploys it's own soldiers to "keep the peace" in Somalia. As "emperor_diocletian" stated above, given the butchered Pakistanis and U.S. soldiers, they've blown their chance. A favourite quote from one of P.J. O'Rourke's books where he quotes a U.S. soldier on the Somali situation "give them better guns and ammunition and seal the borders".
Let's change the name of Somalia to:
"Sowhatia".
And allow them to become an object lesson showing The Manifest Glories of Islam.

Gentlemen, you are dead on that nothing, absolutely nothing, needs to be done about Somalia except to let it alone and stop them from immigrating to points West. The place is so f****d up that even al Qaeda avoids it.
As for that 1%, I recommend to the enterprising that they google Lewiston, Maine, and their Somali problem. The good Catholics of the Diocese of Maine somehow got it into their heads that it would be good, in an ecumenical sort of way, to import hundreds of Somalis to a defunct milltown, give them a Mosque on Lisbon Street, etc. In short, the Somalis, high on handouts from the state and the church, had no incentive whatsoever to adapt, and let the good people of Lewiston know it. They revolted, led by the mayor. They haven't gotten rid of the originals, yet (that I know of), but they have repeatedly shut down the Diocesan efforts to import more of the bastards. And I say bastards with a clean conscience, knowing what some of those teen-aged s***s said to my Mother when she tried to be friendly to them in the city library.
Good, withdraw all peace keeping troops and humanitarian do gooders from that pit of barbarism and let them kill each other off. Some places should be isolated like a contagious plague.
IMO, this country deserves quietness, they have to do internal jihad, we have to bother us in other things not in Somalia, they don´t deserve it.
