Many, including myself, have written foolish things here and got carried away when provoked by trolls.

However, the learning process that comes with the comments, the funny, the sarcastic, the angry, the knowledgeable, (especially Hugh's priceless contributions) were well worth it.

Yes, there are the bible bashers, the rants, the OT and the scurrilous, but just exposing the falsehood of the Mohammedans, their pretenses, their lies and their brazen claims for world domination were worth every penny.

The comments section, like it or not, is allowing us to exercise our right of free speech. Mohammed don't like it? Go and ask the Imam! You'll find many Islamic hate-sites on the net and you can froth from the mouth about killing infidels and Jews.

We are civil, still. Many of us have learned a lot from commenting here, and we'll get to use it, sooner or later, one way or another.

Not surprised that the Iranians are picking up the comments of an organization in this country which that can use to further their agenda/standing.

All the more so when the likes of Reid/Schumer/Boxer/Kennedy/Leahy/Pelosi do the same-style bashing on any number of topics, especially the Iraq war, and is trumpeted by America's enemies abroad.

Some effects of spreading truth are benign, some less so. The Iranian thugocracy is not bound by the rules that force CAIR to at least present a facade of civilized behavior.

CAIR might just be upset that none of the staff or readers at Jihad Watch have been named as a defendant in any lawsuits stemming from 9/11, or been deported or imprisoned for terror crimes like their staff has.

The statements by Mr Fitzgerald as they appear on the Iranian website are true. accurate and reasonable. It is certainly permissable and within the rights of a consumer to boycott products they do not wish to buy. It is not hate speech to buy one product or service over another.

The French have effectively lost the liberty to speak--particularly where Islam is concerned. Much of the Continent is following closely behind. Britain and Australia are saddled with "hate speech" laws that, in the best Orwellian tradition, will be used to suppress political speech. There are plenty in the US who would love to saddle the republic with similar laws.

We owe the likes of Robert Spencer and Serge Trifkovic a great deal. It's all well and good to play at free speech at a protest in DC where you're totally safe; it's another thing altogether when there are plenty of youths willing to kill to preserve the privacy of their Prophet (Critical Inquiry be Upon Him). RS and ST are way out on a limb. We should help them out as much as we can.

The Jihad is advancing. Tell your friends, endure a dirty look, instigate an uncomfortable silence at a dinner party, write a letter to the editor. Speak the ugly truth.

I ALWAYS carry a knapsack(I'm dating myself with that phrase) stuffed with the following;

Islam Unveiled, Onward Muslim Soldiers, The Legacy of Jihad, P.I.G., The Occidentalists, Clash of Civilizations, and a rotating group of others.

It goes where I go. With missionary zeal(muslims love that one), I engage my coworkers, family, friends, and strangers for short periods of about 15 minutes(longer and their eyes start to glaze) in "Did you know" sessions. Deftly scuplting my remarks to the target at hand, shrewd judge of humanity that I am, I provide them with facts about Islam and the dangers we as infidels face. Women are particularly rewarding recipients, there are enough little gems to lay out for them that I usually can tell I've gotten through, at least momentarily. Men may view the subject as an abstract exercise irrelavent to their daily lives, but women, when they hear about how Islam treats women , not in theory but in practice, it gets real personal.

Following the lead of Mr. Spencer, I am always truthful, never the "rabblerouser", armed with the facts available, there is no need. The simple, verifiable truth, calmly and quietly delivered, is far stronger and more forceful than the most flowery and hyperbole-laced tirade.

For most of my life I have been rather reserved about "causes", too much the introvert to look "foolish" or "fanatical". Funny what a threat to you and yours will do to a man. My "Defeat Jihad" sticker rides prominently at eye-level on the rear door of my workvan, located where it can never be obscurred to the driver behind me.

It is incumbent upon us, our moral responsibility as people aware of a danger, to warn others. Mr. Spencer deserves no less, and far, far more.
