In "Europe's looming demise" in the Washington Times today, Pamela Geller discusses a little-noticed initiative that could open the floodgates for jihad in Europe:
Come Jan. 1, 2010, a disastrous and suicidal pact called the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership (Europe/Mediterranean) goes into effect with little fanfare or examination. It boggles the mind that such a consequential and seismic cultural shift could be mandated and put into play without so much as a murmur from the mainstream media. Why should Americans care about this? Americans have to care because this global gobbledygook is coming to our shores, thanks to our globalist president.
The European human rights group called Stop the Islamization of Europe (SIOE) has been working tirelessly to expose the mass Muslim immigration plan of the Euro-Med Partnership....
The goal of the Euro-Mediterranean cooperation is to create a new Greater European Union encompassing both Europe and North Africa, with the Mediterranean Sea becoming a domestic Eurabian sea. The goal is to establish a "comprehensive political partnership," including a "free trade area and economic integration"; "considerably more money for the partners" (that is, more European money flowing into North Africa); and "cultural partnership" - that is, importation of Islamic culture into post-Christian Europe.
According to the SIOE, in the Euro-Med plan "Europe is to be islamized. Democracy, Christianity, European culture and Europeans are to be driven out of Europe. Fifty million North Africans from Muslim countries are to be imported into the EU."
Skeptical? It's already happening. The British newspaper the Daily Express reported in October 2008 on "a controversial taxpayer-funded 'job centre' " that opened in Mali at that time as "just the first step towards promoting 'free movement of people in Africa and the EU.' Brussels economists claim Britain and other EU states will 'need' 56 million immigrant workers between them by 2050 to make up for the 'demographic decline' due to falling birthrates and rising death rates across Europe."
To offset this decline, a "blue card" system is to be created that will allow card holders to travel freely within the European Union and have full rights to work - as well as the full right to collect welfare benefits.
A Muslim population from Africa moving freely into Europe threatens America. On Christmas Day, a Nigerian Muslim flew from Amsterdam to Detroit and tried to explode a bomb on the plane - after he was allowed to board the plane without a passport. The Euro-Mediterranean Partnership will make jihad attacks like this one all the easier....
Like so many European Union initiatives, much of the EuroMed Partnership is shrouded in secrecy. For example, it's not clear what will happen, if anything, on January 1, 2010 that isn't happening already. The official website shows a thriving concern. And contrary to reports I've received that this initiative has stalled or has met widespread opposition from Arab states, the EuroMed initiative seems to be galloping along now: this ANSAmed index shows -- just in the last year -- EuroMed activities involving numerous European entities in Gaza, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, and elsewhere. The official EuroMed website lists these as the "countries concerned" -- showing a rather idiosyncratic idea of what constitutes the Mediterranean area: Albania, Algeria, Bosnia & Herzegovinia, Croatia, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Monaco, Montenegro, Morocco, "Occupied Palestinian Territories," Syria, Tunisia, and Turkey.
The EuroMed effort is proceeding quickly. ANSAmed reported on December 4 that "the Euro-Mediterranean Regional and Local Assembly (ARLEM) has been created. Representatives of regional and local bodies in the Euro-Mediterranean area have in fact decided to meet for the first time in Barcelona, on January 21." Nor do they plan just to get acquainted: one undated but recent ANSAmed piece announces a summit meeting in Brussels of trade ministers from 43 countries in the Mediterranean area, and states: "The final objective is to adopt a road map of concrete actions that will intensify the region's economic integration and launch trade and investments, to achieve a common area of free trade with a long-term horizon beyond 2010."
That common area of free trade will, as Pamela discusses, allow for easy passage from Muslim North Africa and the Middle East into Europe -- with nary an effort made to prevent jihadists from coming into Europe. And once safely in Europe, it will not be hard for them to come to America. As Pamela points out, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, arriving in Detroit from Amsterdam on Christmas Day, could be just the first of many. And the ones who come after him may have been enabled to do so by the Euro-Med Partnership.
Abdulmutallabad's type - terrorists on a mission of the moment - will in fact be few and far-between. Many more will come as sleepers, setting up shop here in the USA and waiting to be activated on a moment's notice. Some will work openly in agitprop, while others will work clandestinely as facilitators, providing safe-houses, financing, weapons and other sundry network infrastructure. Still others will be the designated shaheeds, ready to unleash their mayhem on a plethora of targets, including government buildings, monuments and officials, power-plants (including nuclear), Synagogues, shopping-malls, etc.
It's all so fucking predictable...to everyone but the powers-that-be.
Madness.
Brussels economists claim Britain and other EU states will 'need' 56 million immigrant workers between them by 2050 to make up for the 'demographic decline' due to falling birthrates and rising death rates across Europe."
What insanity! Europe doesn't need any immigrant workers, as is proven by the fact that they already have tens of millions of people drawing unemployment benefits. And a large number of these "workers" are recent Islamic immigrants themselves. Europe doesn't "need" any more of these.
If anything, Europe will need fewer workers in the years to come, because production is becoming increasingly mechanized and automated.
But if Europe did need more workers, it should be looking to Latin America, where most of the population already has strong linguistic and cultural affinities with Europe. And not looking at North Africa or the Middle East, where the population is not just un-European but anti-European in its behavior and beliefs.
An excellent article by Fjordman:
" The Eurabia Code: Defeating Eurabia"
http://defeatingeurabia.wordpress.com/2009/06/09/the-eurabia-code/
The end of Europe is well nigh.
It was predicted long ago but is still sad to witness.
Wow. I was assuming - and had from reasonable authority (Morten Messreschmidt) that nothing from EuroMed was coming into force in 2010.
EuroMed is a train set into motion back in 1995, when we blindly assumed that religion was not a problem and a New World Order of ever-expanding democracy was more or less a given thing. There are many highly educated people paid by tax money who have a vested interest in maintaining this illusion. In order to do so, they have to proceed at any cost, no matter how many torpedoes are around.
I'm European (Danish) and have taken this to my parliamentarians.
After revieweing some of the EU's documents, I do not feel terribly alarmed. Don't get me wrong. The EU itself is a travesty, taking away local control and national sovereignty. The EU Barcelona documents emphasize 'legal' migrants, allowing for some flexibility here.
However it is also a testimonial to the European labor shortage. That shortage, of course, has been the result of years of European secularism and the desire to 'enjoy' life as opposed to making sacrifices for the future of Europe, such as the post WW II generation did. Add to that the issue of how much it costs to simply live--high taxes, permanent double-digit unemployment, supra-national bureaucracies removing incentives to rear children, and a creeping secularism--these have all contributed to Europe's current demographic state.
And, so, the need for 'legal' migrant workers raises its ugly head. Muslim migrants will likely make up the bulk of those migrants. They will produce more babies--they oppose abortion, a staple of European life--they are fervent in their religious zeal--Europe has abandoned its Christian roots--and they will become a majority of the population in important population centers throughout Europe.
Europe needs to wake up, if it isn't already too late.
ISLAM WILL DOMINATE THE WORLD(USA), not because of some stroke of genius or divine intervention, but simple math of supply and demand(be it forced).
Permanent supply of countless billions of petro-dollars from Christian western nations (with declining indigenous population), being exported to (7th century mentality) Muslim oil producing states, PLUS western liberal politicians, greedy bankers/lawyers/corporations/lobbyists who see no harm in and are willing to do anything for a buck EQUALS TO unrestrained liberalization or submition to complete Islamization and Shariaization of western nations, forced conversions to Islam and a possibility of a single-event "Armenian style genocide" of the hardcore kufr, InshaAllah (Allah willing)!
Not surprising at all. They are willing to trade the civilization they know for Islam which they do not know.
However it is also a testimonial to the European labor shortage.
Shortage? What shortage?
We have a lot of non-productive civil servants, spiking unemployment and immigrants/descendants with unemployment rates of 30-70 %.
The myth of the 'European labor shortage' has fueled immigration since the 1950's, when our factories where getting up in gear. It was a cheap (in more than one sense of the word) for what we really should have done:
Automize the factories, give better pay to unattractive jobs.
Instead, business & politicians chose to invite 'guest workers', who of course stayed, and told their relatives to find some excuse - any excuse - to get away from their poor countries into Europe. But there is no such thing as 'cheap labor' in a country with high costs of living. You can't just import slaves.
Currently, we have a labor glut, not a shortage. Factories are being built in China, not in Europe, and the ECB is printing money to cover the massive deficits.
The EU Barcelona documents emphasize 'legal' migrants.
And who, exactly, controls the law?
Hint: It's not the European citizen. This 'Rule by the People' thing is of the past, we now have 'Rule by Civil Servants'.
Who, paid by our tax money, will probably be perfectly happy to convert illegal migrants into legal ones by the stroke of a pen.
This is really incredible and depressing, but not surprising, considering everything that we read and see. Europe will be as "multicultural" as Egypt or Pakistan or worse.
In the meantime: Happy 2010 and Happy New Decade to everybody.
How can we have a new decade better than the one that is ending? Doing the possible. Talk to as many people you can about what is happening.
For those who believe in God, remember, we do the possible so that God can do the impossible.
For those who do not believe in God, just keep doing the possible.
Henrik makes some valuable contributions here. But even - for the sake of argument - if we concede that Europe has a looming labor shortage, why is it impossible to employ a common-sense policy of selective immigration, one based not on race, but on the prospects of cultural assimilation? Why not emphasize Hindu and Sikh immigrants from India, Bhuddists from China and Southeast Asia, Christians from the Philippines, sub-Sahara Africa, and South America?
To avoid the stench of racism and discrimination, Muslims could continue to be admitted, but in much smaller (and thus more manageable numbers). The policy - at least on its face - would not be to penalize Muslims per say, it would be to reward immigrants who are assimilable.
Time to get creative folks.
The elitists of Europe (and the USA) are multiculturists but in addition to this, they have such a disdain for the Judeo-Christian culture that they see the Islamic culture (which also has a disdain for the Judeo-Christian culture) as a friend. Therefore they give preferential treatment to Islamic immigrants and tend to reject Hindu's, Buddhists, and other cultures that are at peace with Judeo-Christians. These elite MC's are very misguided to be sure, but they are none the less, in power and can call the shots regarding immigration.
Hoping that the New Year brings better times for all and this can happen if the people take more control of their cities, states, and countries by demanding that their elite political class pay attention to their wants and needs. Always remember it is very important to throw out the political bums.
Is this what Jesus meant when He said 'the meek shall inherit the earth'?
So why didn't our forefathers just lie around in the sun fornicating with their wives and concubines while waiting for a bunch of idiots to come along who would build a world we would inherit for no effort or sweat?
If everyone in a society is employed at a high wage, I would think that should be seen as a positive thing for a society. No, that means there is a labor shortage. So, foreign workers need to be imported to work at a low wage to provide a profit margin to their employers. Full employment of the indigenous population then ends as the immigrant population competes for jobs in a race to the bottom, wages drop, taxes increase as some of the imported workers bring their families and go on the dole rather than work. The need for social workers increases in order to deal with the social problems imported with the workers. Then it becomes too expensive for the indigenous European population to raise a family, with their undercut wages and high taxes, and easier for the indigenous population to turn to birth control and abortion in order to be able to achieve a high standard of living. Then, the call goes out for more importation of labor to make up for the population implosion. And on it goes. The European elites never question why the Europeans have such a low birth rate, or take steps to protect their own people, but keep importing more people who have no interest in preserving European cultures. The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world.

No question you are right about the wages and immigration. This does not explain why Hindus, Buddists, Christians do not come to Europe.
Deux-Rivistes II.
Here's the erudite Hugh Fitzgerald on the subject, from three years ago:
http://www.jihadwatch.org/2007/01/fitzgerald-the-article-of-faith-of-the-deux-rivistes.html
What do Algeria, Egypt, Gaza, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, the "Occupied Palestinian Territories," Syria, Tunisia, and Turkey—unfree, brutal, tyrannical, economically static Muslim states all, with the obvious exception of Israel—have to offer the free, open, wealthy, culturally advanced nations of France, and Spain, and Italy?
Even the cynical answer of "cheap labor" does not hold up, as Muslim immigration has wound up *costing* Europe money, in the form of lavish welfare payments and other entitlements, as well as increased security costs with the rising threat of terrorism.
So what *Is* it for? You would never get a hint from Euro-Med's website, which natters on about goals such as reducing pollution in the Mediterranean Sea—as though that were equally a goal of, say, France and Libya.
Euro-Med's ugly logo falsely implies that Muslim North Africa is somehow just a mirror-image of Southern Europe.
The website does give some few hints that there may be some trouble in the Deux-Rivistes paradise, as in the section on "Euro-Med and Women", where it is vaguely acknowledged that there might be an "improvement of women's status and situation in the Euro-Med area". What part of "Euro-Med" might that be? The streets of Barcelona, Perhaps, or maybe Naples? Clearly, they expect people to read between the lines, at least to some extent.
On "The EU and the Middle East Peace Process", Euro-Med helpfully endorses the following: "The EU considers that peace in the Middle East requires a comprehensive solution." That should clear up 1400 years of Anti-Semitism in the Muslim world!
On the rather opaque segment on "Euro-Med and the Media", they note that one of the issues is "Xenophobic and Racist Media"—that would be any outlet that questions the wisdom of this insane plan, and its consequences for Europe.
Tucked away, near the very bottom of that same bulleted list, is the discreet reference to "reporting terrorism"—bound to become more and more of an issue, no doubt, with more and more Jihad-minded Muslims flooding into unprotected Dar-al-Harb.
It seems rather ironic that the EU has no trouble allowing non-Europeans unfettered access to live, work and drain the dole in Europe, but all kinds of hurdles were put in the path of "free movement" of labour from new East European member-states.
Japan has chosen a different path: robots and automation. Who says Europe really has to fill the demographic void with imported labor from Muslim Mediterranean countries?
A "third way," could be to welcome millions of immigrants from non-Muslim countries in the Americas, Africa, South Asia, and East Asia, let alone Oceania.
Non-Muslims from those area would neither seek to destroy Europe's civilization, nor try to enslave its non-Muslims peoples (in their own house).
@ Henrik Quote: "I was assuming - and had from reasonable authority (Morten Messreschmidt) that nothing from EuroMed was coming into force in 2010."
Let's see what happens in 2010. If the official EC website is correct and Euromed progresses, as promised, during 2010 we all look forward to you admitting your assumption was wrong.
If you consider an EU politician to be a "reasonable authority" I suggest you don't try voting "no" in an EU referendum.
The United States, which fought three wars in Europe to prevent a hostile power from dominating the continent, had better wake up to the long-term threat of a Muslim Europe, or a Europe that "submits" to the perceived dominance or hegemony of Muslim countries, peoples, and Islamic ideology.
This time, we can nip the threat in the bud, if there's the political will for an objective analysis of who and what truly constitutes the post-9/11 threat to our national security, and if a rational, well crafted and well implemented foreign policy result from that.
Churchill claimed Americans could always be counted on to do the right thing - after they'd tried everything else. Well, what else is there to try when burying our heads in the sands of denial and following PC doctrines and multicultural nonsense have yielded no definition of either threat or enemy? Will it take the mass destruction of one of our cities to shake commonsense into our dented skulls?
Henrik : Factories are being built in China, not in Europe...
Oh, I like that! Send the moslems to China! They certainly know how to deal with them.
Each of us are motivated by gut feelings. Even in scholarly analysis, there is a motivation factor which the scholarly argument will either support or refute. Global warming is a good example of gut feelings gone astray.
I believe that European elitists (and USA elitists) dislike Jews and Christians in their gut. This is why they side with Muslims in their efforts to solve their perceived problems.
We in the UK and Europe are being set up for ethnic cleansing and/or genocide. Mark my words.
However, in the UK the tide is turning, you won't read about it in the media, or if you do you will read about "fascists" and "racists".
The far right are on the rise in my country. The government is desperately trying to convince people that this is due to the economy as it is well documented that fascism and the like rise during economic troubles. Though there is a link between economies and fascism this is not the case here.
The people are turning to those who will defend our country and culture. They are turning to these parties' because our own government has turned on its own people. They have quite simply sold us out, lock, stock and barrel.
We are an extremely tolerant country, hence the lack of mass violence against even extremist muslims (though the same can't be said the other way around) but we have our limits. When you take advantage of our tolerance and see it as a weakness we will turn on you in the blink of an eye. This is not a threat but a fact of life in our island culture.
Bring peace or bring war, but if you bring war we will fight. We always have. We always will.
The Lion is stirring. Be warned.
Thank you DaveMate,
The sentiment and the tide is much the same here in the U.S.
There is a reason why the conservative is called the right.
No civilization in the history of mankind has survived this kind of invasion. There is no desire to assimilate, only to conquer. Its not the first time this has happened and the people who took the situation in hand then are today villinized.
Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
I gather from your letter the conservatives in your neck of the woods are approaching critical masse. I get the same sense here.
Again, thank you.
I think with the repeated claim that the Nigerian suicide bomber on Christmas day is a taste of yet more things to come is missing the point.
There is a risk of terror attacks in any case.
Isn't it more likely that if Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab's father warned the US Embassy in Nigeria, and it didn't get through, then it is because this information was deliberately held back?
Just like the Fort Hood massacre, isn't it more than likely the US Embassy in Nigeria has a Muslim, or a radical leftist element working there?
What is more dangerous is Obama's soft approach to terrorism.
And what I'm most worried about is that Obama will implement such a crazy immigration policy for the US. THIS is what I fear for the US under Obama.
If you consider an EU politician to be a "reasonable authority"
Steven, you obviously do not know who Morten Messerschmidt is...
Anyway, I'm trying to take this to the Danish parliament and get a clear response if anything EuroMed is coming into force in 2010. Free trade is OK with me, free movement of 'labour' certainly not.
There is, to my knowledge, no 'Pact' coming into force in 2010.
If anything, Europe will need fewer workers in the years to come, because production is becoming increasingly mechanized and automated.
That is the ONLY answer to Europe's changing demographics of an aging population. This 'automation' solution is being pursued in Japan. They're smarter about it, less PC and more in tune with preserving their fine culture from barbarism: Japan sees robot's as answer to demographics, aging population
Europe should take a lesson and apply the good brains God gave them. Let's hope 2010 will shift the winds of change and restrict Moslem immigration to the West.
