Internships

Welcome!

The Media Research Center is accepting rolling applications to join the next class of MRC interns. Our competitive internship program provides the on-the-job training needed to succeed in today’s fast-paced, demanding journalism industry.

Interns will have the opportunity to play an active role in accomplishing the MRC’s mission.

You can apply to work in one of the many divisions of the MRC.

For example, if you are selected to intern in the News Analysis Division, here is an example what your resume could look like at the end of your intern program:

Internships are full-time, Monday through Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm for a total of 12 weeks. While this is the commitment we ask for, we have flexibility to accommodate class schedules and/or other scheduling conflicts.

To apply for an internship, complete the online application and include your resume, cover letter, and two writing samples in your submission.

If you have questions, email Veronica Lark (vlark@mrc.org). No calls, please.

About the Media Research Center

The Media Research Center is a research and education organization that has been been the nation’s premier media watchdog since 1987.

We could not accomplish our mission of exposing and neutralizing the propaganda arm of the left, the national news media, without the help of our talented interns. Interns come to MRC during the spring, summer, and fall semesters and work alongside MRC staff in a rewarding and fast-paced environment.

The Media Research Center’s unwavering commitment to neutralizing left-wing bias in the news media and popular culture has influenced how millions of Americans perceive so-called objective reporting.

We integrating cutting-edge news monitoring capabilities with a sophisticated marketing operation and reach nearly 203.6 million Americans each week to educate them about left-wing bias in the media.
