Fellowship Program
The
Nieman Fellowship program
is the oldest and best-known mid-career program for journalists in the world. More than 1,300 journalists from the U.S. and 88 other countries have come to Harvard for a year of learning, exploration and fellowship.
Nieman Fellows are provided the opportunity to step back from deadlines, renew their intellectual curiosity and enrich their understanding of the topics they cover.

Michael J. Berens wins Worth Bingham Prize for “Seniors for Sale”
Reporter Michael J. Berens of
The Seattle Times
is winner of the 2010 Worth Bingham Prize for Investigative Journalism for his comprehensive six-part series “
Seniors for Sale: Exploiting the aged and frail in Washington’s adult family homes
.” The $20,000 Bingham Prize will be presented at the Nieman Foundation on April 14, 2011.

Spring 2011 Issue of Nieman Reports Is Now Online
The new issue of Nieman Reports—“Shattering Barriers to Reveal Corruption”—focuses on what happens when journalists try to uncover and reveal corruption in countries where this reporting involves tremendous personal and professional risks. New strategies include cross-border reporting projects and the establishment of nonprofit publishing ventures.
