Admissions - Scholarships

Master's Degree out of reach? Think again. See what it takes to be an NPS graduate. The Naval Postgraduate School offers a number of programs where civilians, who are U.S. citizens, are supported with a full salary, generous government benefits, and full tuition waiver while working towards a Master’s or Doctoral Degree. Upon degree completion these students are required to fulfill an obligated service commitment with the Defense Department or in some programs other federal agencies. These are highly competitive programs that require an outstanding academic record. GRE and/or GMAT scores are required for consideration for admission to any doctoral program. Current government employees are eligible for some of these programs. Any civilian employee of the United States Government is eligible to participate in the programs offered by NPS.

The Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) in Monterey is proud to offer an exceptional program that enables civilians to obtain a full scholarship for a Master's Degree, receive a salary while in school, and begin a civilian career with an unlimited future. The "Scholarship for Service" program DOES NOT entail enrollment in the military. Our students receive their Master's Degree and move on to CIVILIAN government jobs in such organizations as the CIA, FBI, NSA, and others.
