Your updates should appear in News Feed promptly. If your update hasn't appeared in News Feed after several hours, please submit a report here.

All of your news is now in one place with the most interesting stories featured at the top. If you haven’t visited Facebook for a while, the first things you’ll see are top photos and status updates posted while you’ve been away. They’re marked with an easy-to-spot blue corner.

As we test new features on the home page, you might find certain stories displayed more than once in your Ticker or News Feed sections. You’ll see this less frequently as we continue to improve these features.

We are testing new locations for the Upcoming Events section on the home page. You can always view your upcoming events by clicking Events on the left side of the home page. To see your friends’ birthdays, click Birthdays at the bottom of the Events page.

You can control how much you see from each of your friends and what types of those stories appear in your News Feed. Use the Subscribed button to customize what you see from your friends in your News Feed.

The stories that appear on your friends’ home pages are based on the content you publish, the privacy settings of everyone involved, and your friends’ filter preferences.

Because your friends can always choose to hide content that you publish, there is no way to guarantee that your stories will always appear on their home pages.

To make commenting faster and easier, we've removed this button. To comment on a post, just press your enter or return key. If you want to create a new paragraph or line break within your comment, press shift+enter on your keyboard.

If you are experiencing problems posting comments using the enter or return key, your Internet browser may be the cause of these issues. If you are using an earlier browser version such as Firefox 2, you will need to upgrade to the latest version.
