Biography 

Gabe Ledeen is an associate at Jones Day San Francisco specializing in data privacy and security.  In the spring term of 2014-2015, he is leading the Veterans Policy Practicum with Professor Joe Bankman to work with students interested in building a comprehensive assessment of veterans policy research and identifying opportunities for new or improved programs.  Gabe graduated cum laude from Rice University in 2004 with a BA in philosophy and cognitive science with a neuroscience concentration.  He served four years as an officer in the Marine Corps, including two deployments to Iraq in 2006-2008.  After leaving the Marine Corps, Gabe attended Stanford Law School where he helped build the Stanford Law Veterans Organization and served as co-director of outreach for the Afghanistan Legal Education Project.  Gabe clerked for D.C. Circuit Judge A. Raymond Randolph, and returned to the Bay Area to join Jones Day. He represents the firm on the pro bono advisory board of Swords to Plowshares, a nonprofit dedicated to assisting Bay Area veterans, and established a training and staffing system to enable Jones Day lawyers to represent veterans through the Swords to Plowshares pro bono program.
