Research in the division is facilitated by the resources of the Stanford Digestive Disease Center. The goal of the NIH-sponsored Stanford University Digestive Disease Center is to advance knowledge in human digestive disease by providing the resources and environment that will foster interactions between the clinical and basic sciences. The Center consists of 28 established investigators from clinical and basic science departments. Interaction between the investigators is supported by five core facilities that provide members with access to important technologies and services.
