The Stanford Strategic Decision and Risk Management Certificate Program provides participants the advanced skills needed to execute business strategies effectively. The program consists of a curriculum of noncredit short courses and combines Stanford University's academic and research depth with the decision and risk management expertise and track record of Strategic Decisions Group (SDG) .

Designed for decision-makers and those who support strategic decision-making and risk management. The program serves diverse functional areas, including finance, risk management, planning, engineering, marketing, R&D, design, supply chain, business development, and HR.

Earning the Certificate

Participants have the flexibility of taking individual courses within the program or earning the Stanford Strategic Decision and Risk Management Certificate by completing the 2 required courses and 4 electives.

Courses may be taken in any order and any method of instruction - online, at Stanford, or at work.

Professional Development Units

The Stanford Center for Professional Development is a registered education provider of the Project Management Institute .

Professional Development Units (PDU's) may be earned for each course taken as part of the Stanford Strategic Decision and Risk Management (SDRM) certificate program to maintain certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP®).

Time to Complete Certificate

On average, students complete the certificate within 1-2 years. Each course is 2.5 days on campus or approximately 20 hours online.
