1. How do you change a Financial Officer?
There are two main tasks to change your Financial Officer (FO):
Step 1: Register the new FO with access to CardinalSync and MyGroups2
a) In CardinalSync, go to your organization's page
-
Make sure the new FO is a member of the group by clicking on the People link; invite to join if not already listed
-
Click the name of the new FO; click Manage to change their access level from Member to Administrator. A title for the member can also be entered under their name
b) Return to your organization's page in CardinalSync
- Click the Profile tab in the upper-center of the page; click the pencil icon to edit
- Navigate to the Leadership Information page
-
Update the FO's contact information; click to the end of the profile and save the changes
-
This profile change request is forwarded to SAL for approval
Step 2: New FO attends Banking Workshop
-
Schedule available here: http://studentaffairs.stanford.edu/sal/manage/workshops
-
Workshops are managed by the ASSU and presented by SSE. Any questions can be directed to caproup-bm@sse.stanford.edu
These can happen in either order, although both will be required before the new FO has access to the MyGroups accounts. We recommend waiting until they have done the workshop before making the change official.
2. What's the difference between CardinalSync and Mygroups2?
CardinalSync helps student leaders manage their group profiles, update their organization's constitution and leadership, organize their roster list, communicate within their group, update their group calendar, promote their events, and store their organization's files.
EVENT REGISTRATION APPROVAL HAS MOVED TO CARDINALSYNC (AUGUST 2013)
Mygroups2 is mainly for finances (banking and funding) and eCommerce
