Within your first 10 work days, we ask that you turn your attention towards completing these training and acknowledgement requirements. Feel free to contact your hiring manager, HR professional or the Welcome Center at any time if you have questions during this process.
1. Enroll In and Complete Required Training Courses
All employees are required to complete required training specific to the work they perform at Stanford. You should also look for additional information from your manager and emails about other courses you need to complete.
2. Review State, Federal and University Policies Related to Your Employment
These policies may affect you now or in the future, and familiarizing yourself with them is recommended.
3. Complete the "Invitation to Self-Identify Veteran or Disabled Status" Forms
All employees are asked to complete these voluntary forms. Download Forms
4. Watch the Computer Security Awareness Video
This is a mandatory 12-minute video on Information Security. Failure to complete this task will result in revoked access to Stanford online systems.
5. Learn to Use the Axess Timecard
Learn how to record your time and check your time-off balance accruals with the AXESS Timecard, the university’s primary system for recording time and/or leave taken each pay period.
6. Notify HR for a Workplace Accommodation
If you require a workplace accommodation for a disability, please discuss this with your supervisor or Human Resources Manager.
