Yes, Stanford GSB is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Established in 1916, AACSB is a global, nonprofit membership organization of educational institutions, businesses, and other entities devoted to the advancement of management education.
Stanford GSB is a private institution.
While we do not offer an undergraduate degree in business, we do offer the Summer Institute for General Management. This four-week, non-degree summer business program is open to non-business college juniors and seniors, as well as recent graduates.
The Stanford Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program is an online program designed to foster your ability to think differently in your quest to develop innovative products and services. The self-paced courses enable you to earn a certificate on your own schedule.
All degree programs are full-time.
We do not offer a degree program with evening or summer classes. However, we do offer Stanford Ignite, a four-month academic program that exposes Stanford master’s, PhD, MD, and post-doctorate students with Silicon Valley innovators, scientists, and engineers. Stanford Ignite empowers individuals to formulate, develop, and commercialize their ideas.
Throughout the year, we offer a wide variety of Executive Education programs.
The Stanford GSB MBA Program offers the following joint degrees:
- JD/MBA
- MA Education/MBA
- MPP/MBA
- MS in Computer Science/MBA
- MS Environment & Resources/MBA
In a joint degree program, a single course may count toward multiple degrees. Your degrees must be conferred simultaneously, upon completion of degree requirements for both programs.
We also offer dual degrees: a Stanford MD/MBA dual degree, and dual degree programs with schools outside Stanford University.
In a dual degree, you may apply credit from a course to only one degree. All dual degrees may require more than the two years of study at Stanford GSB. Typically, students apply to the other department in your first year in the MBA Program and take classes toward the dual degree in your second year at Stanford GSB.
For the MD/MBA, you typically apply to the MBA Program either concurrently with the MD application or in your third or fourth year of the MD Program.
As part of the MBA and MSx programs, students can earn a certificate from the Public Management Program by completing specific course requirements.
Yes, some of our Executive Education programs are taught in off-campus locations. In addition, Stanford Ignite offers programs Bangalore, India and Paris, France.
