The President’s Trip to Asia 2010
On November 5th, 2010, President Obama departed on a ten-day trip to Asia. Asia is critical to our foreign policy and includes some of the fastest-growing markets in the world, making it an important element of the President’s National Export Initiative – an ambitious goal of doubling America’s exports over five years. The trip is largely focused on America’s economy back home, expanding exports of U.S. goods, and bolstering global economic stability through the G-20 and other forums. The trip began in India, with the President moving on to Indonesia, South Korea and Japan.
