To improve the interaction and flow of information between science and policy, the Center designs and collaborates with partners to host presentations, forums, advisory groups and workshops and courses for ocean and coastal decisionmakers in the private and public sectors.
These programs provide attendees with an up-to-date understanding of relevant science, technology and policy, and engage participants in applying this information in problem-solving. The Center fosters discussion and builds networks between scientists and various decisionmakers who work together over time to confront challenges and achieve solutions for our global ocean.
