Online hepatitis B training for providers and students in the healthcare field

Hepatitis B is a leading cause of preventable death in the world. Yet our research shows that opportunities in prevention and early diagnosis that could save lives are often missed because of gaps in healthcare workers hepatitis B knowledge, preventive and care practices.

For US healthcare providers and students

The Asian Liver Center is working with Stanford Online to produce an interactive web-based course on hepatitis B and liver cancer.

For international healthcare providers and students

Know HBV is a free, interactive and narrated online training course developed by the Asian Liver Center to improve healthcare providers' hepatitis B knowledge and preventive practices in countries outside the United States.

To help to eliminate the burden and stigma of chronic hepatitis B infection in China, the first country specific training class was developed in partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Shandong Province, China. We are most grateful to the World Health Organization in China for its guidance on the safe injection module, and Videx Inc. for course technical support.
