Date(s):
Tuesday, October 28, 2014 - 12:30pm - 1:30pm

This month's topic:
Handling Sibling Differences While Caring for Mom and Dad

Caregiving is hard enough, but the added stress of sibling disagreements can make it almost unbearable. Childhood family patterns can re-emerge as sibling rivalry, old resentments and guilt. Your family history and the impact of those past dynamics will have an effect on your present relationships.

This seminar will focus on the legacy of caregiving in your family; how you are currently delegating roles and responsibilities; and how to mediate the tensions that may hinder your ability to communicate and problem solve. Join us for an open discussion to share concerns, address immediate risks, and explore resources and problem solving ideas. We'll also cover:

•  Should the primary caregiver be paid by the other siblings or from parents’ savings?
•  Is there a way to share paperwork and management of matters online?
•  Who becomes Durable Powers for Attorney for Health and for Finances?

Location: Poplar Training Room, 215 Panama St.,
