Homes on California Avenue
A new community of homes for Stanford faculty is under construction on 17 acres on California Avenue in Palo Alto,
across from Amherst/Dartmouth Streets. This is Stanford University land that was part of the Research Park
and is being redeveloped for faculty housing. This project is in
early construction and the following are facts about this community as we now know them.

Availability |
The first homes will be available in late 2016. Final completion is planned for late 2017.

Eligibility |
At this time, priority is planned for:
Faculty, who are members of the Academic Council, who are first time
homebuyers* or who have not owned a detached single-family home within the Qualifying
Limit in the three years prior to receipt of a written offer of employment
from Stanford.

Interest List |
An interest list will be available in late 2015. If demand exceeds the supply of homes a
lottery will determine which faculty will have an opportunity to purchase.

A first time homebuyer is someone who has never had an ownership interest in a
residential property located within the Qualifying Limit in the three years
prior to receipt of a written offer of employment from Stanford.
