Overview
IT Services supports IMAP ( Internet Message Access Protocol) email on the campus mail systems. Stanford community members can choose between POP and IMAP for their @stanford email. IMAP stores all your email on a central IT Services-managed server, giving you access to all your messages, old and new, at work, at home or anywhere a web browser is available (web access through the IMAP interface for Webmail). You can use IMAP with your current favorite email program,
IMAP (with some limitations and additional cost) supports shared accounts, which let multiple users access the email in a single mailbox, each using his or her own SUNet ID and password.

- If you accidentally delete a message or folder, submit a Restore Email Request Form to restore email for a particular date within the past six days (IMAP email backups are only kept for six days)
